Movies Movies Movies!

Imdb.com is my best friend, as it enlightens me to projects my favorite Grey's characters are working on in the absence of new episodes and when news is slow. Last time I reported on Katherine Heigl's attempt to bail out of her contract in order to focus on her burgeoning film career. Well, it seems our lovely leading lady is slated to star in a movie called The Ugly Truth which will begin production April 15th in Portland, Oregon. Apparently, the movie is about "a romantically challenged morning show producer is reluctantly embroiled in a series of outrageous tests by her chauvinistic correspondent to prove his theories on relationships and help her find love." No offense to Katherine Heigl, but if she plans on leaving Grey's to make generic chick flicks like this one, she's not exactly proving that she is a serious actress. Make a movie about the Genocide in Darfur, act brilliantly in it and then make a couple more controversial movies that the general public doesn't get but is poignant and makes a statement and then maybe we'll consider you more than a TV actress. But enough of these Knocked Up knock-offs. You won't survive forever on them, you'll just get typecasted.

Starring opposite our favorite Seattle Grace resident will be Gerard Butler, who starred in PS. I love you, which also featured Jefferey Dean Morgan (That's Denny to all you Grey's lovers). What a coincidence. Anyways, now that I've played my own version of six degrees of separation, its time to bring you even more movie news.

There's no movie poster for The Ugly Truth, but I'm sure it will looks something like this and this.

Chandra Wilson is currently making a movie about Jeannette Rankin, the first woman elected to congress, called A Single Woman. Chandra will be the voice of Coretta Scott King. Imdb reports only that the movie will be out in 2008. Now these are the kind of movies Katherine needs to get herself involved with.

Chandra Wilson looking absolutely fabulous.
