Who's YOUR favorite character?

My favorite character just happens to be the ever loveable and completely hug-worthy George O'Malley. Sure, he's still an intern and yeah, he has this really bad habit for falling for girls that are really really bad for him, but he's my favorite all the same. I love to see him bumble his way through the melodrama of the hospital, ever so innocently. He's cute, he's funny and he's the namesake of my kitten. So he will always find himself a special place in my heart. Even if he does fall into some truly cringe-worthy relationships.

(A recap for those of you who do not devote your life to the plotline of Grey's)
1. Olivia: she's the one who gave him syphillis. And although they were absolutely adorable together, she was kind of a slut and was banging Alex at virtually the same time she was banging George. Which is so not ok. And really, what new relationship will survive a good case of syphillis?

2. Meredith: Then there was that icky, gross, nails against chalkboard feeling we all experienced during their one night stand. For God's sake, she started hysterically crying in the middle of it all. They could barely see each other through the haze of awkward in that room. God, that was awful.

3. Callie: Okay, so there wasn't anything truly heinous about his relationship with Callie, except for the fact that she was sort of a control freak. George lost almost enitrely his personality and quick wit during those few months we were forced to watch Callie control him. The whole thing seemed forced and suited to fit Callie's need for more air-time on the show.

4. Izzie: I don't know why George must continually gravitate toward his friends romantically, but there you have it. This "relationship" was even more awkward than the one with Meredith. They have absolutely no sexual chemistry. Watching their first drunken interlude for the first time, I found myself praying out loud that the writer's were not doing what I thought they were doing. Izzie and George are meant to be strictly friends. Buddies. Pals. Definitely not lovers. Hear that, writer's? It's gross. It's like incest. Please, make it stop.

So there you have my favorite character. Who's yours? Leave a comment telling us which intern or resident makes you religiously tune into Grey's. It would be nice to know why, too. :)
