Various and Sundry Grey's Related Tid-Bits.

First, let's start off with the good news. Grey's Anatomy is definitely airing five more new episodes of Grey's Anatomy, the first of which will air April 24, 2008. ABC finally released the time slots for their broadcasting station Wednesday afternoon. Now that there's a definite date out there in the universe, it's time for all you Grey's fans to set your countdown clocks.

In other news, the cast of Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice are going live on February 29, 2008. Nearly the entire cast of both shows are involved somehow and will perform a musical event called Good Medicine at UCLA's Royce Hall at 8pm. Whoever is working at UCLA's program council clearly know some people in high places. However, tickets are $100 and it is a one night only show. Headliners include Audra McDonald, Sara Ramirez and Loretta Divine, but each of our favorite cast members are slated to participate in the program.

Elizabeth Reaser (AKA Ava, Karev's love interest) is going to appear in the film Twilight, a vampire flick based on a series of young adult novels. The movie is about a young girl who moves with her father to a small town in Washington and becomes fascinated with a young classmate, Edward Cullen. She then meets the entire Cullen family, who are all apparently vampires. I don't know much about the books this movie is based off of. All I know is Edward Cullen is apparently every young avid reader's fantasy boyfriend. So it must be good. Good for you Ava. You go, girl.

Also, Patrick Dempsey and Katherine Heigl are on tap to be presenters at this year's Academy Awards. The pair will be doling out little gold statues this Sunday February 24, 2008. Jon Stewart will be hosting the show and Kristin Chenoweth will be singing "How do you Know?" from the movie Enchanted which starred our favorite hot doctor, McDreamy.
