McDreamy is a Jerk!

I never thought that i would ever say those words in a million years, but McDreamy is a full blown, absolute and complete jerk. In this episode, he decides it might be fun to play the slutty scrub nurse and Meredith off against one another. I suppose he feels a little guilty about the makeout session with the almost computer nerd turned hussy scrub nurse because he pretty much breaks up with her and instead, presents Meredith with blueprints. Blueprints for what you ask? Blueprints for his house. But oh wait, it's not just his house. Oh, no. It's Meredith's house, too. Of course, Meredith with her commitment issues freaks out a little at this idea. So, he goes back to the slutty little scrub nurse and admits that he would love to have dinner with her, despite the fact that earlier in the episode he pretty much decided he didn't want to have anything to do with her because of his none too secret relationship with Meredith. Meredith, in an effort to deal with her family issues, decides to make omelettes for Lexie, who is currently staying with her. Lexie, being the good little sister, forgets to mention to Meredith that she is incredibly allergic to something she put in the omelettes and breaks out in hives.

Bailey gets the scare of her life when her baby is brought into the hospital after a shelf full of medical books falls on him. Tucker blames Bailey for never being around, which causes baby Tucker to go look for her in her office and wind up underneath hundreds of pounds of medical books. Bailey blames Tucker for forgetting to close the gate. Tucker insists, oh no, it was Bailey that forgot to close the gate. Bailey freaks out about being a bad mother and her marriage essentially crumbles as the team tries to save baby Tucker's life.

One of the patients at the hospital has the gift of healing via spirituality and is basically wandering room to room running her hands over various patients' auras and healing them. One of these patients include baby Tucker. The healing lady insists that the hostile tension between Bailey and her husband is not a healing environment and that the two must hold hands to save their baby. Tucker is reluctant and Bailey is willing to do anything to save her baby even if Tucker and her failing marriage is not her main concern.

Hahn and Sloan have more subtle romantic tension which Hahn refuses to give into. Meanwhile, George's mother shows up with a whole truckload of ugly hand knit unisex baby outfits for Callie since she's so out of the loop that she still thinks George and Callie are trying for a baby. Izzie stumbles upon Mrs. O'Malley and accidentally spills the beans about everything, including being the reason for the destruction of George and Callie's marriage. Being a good Catholic woman, Mrs. O'Malley reams George for being unfaithful and insists that he try harder in his marriage because adultery and divorce are just not things that good catholics do. Apparently, she's not real clear on the whole Callie hating George's adulterous butt thing.

Now then, Meredith finds out about McDreamy and Rose sucking face in the O.R and she rightfully confronts him about his technical adultery. McDreamy confesses that the whole house thing was a test that she failed miserably (Hello, what did he think was going to happen?) Meredith decides she can't do this anymore because she can't trust him and McDreamy agrees. So i guess they're broken up again? Who the hell knows.

All I know is this is the last episode for quite a while thanks to the ever so lovely writer's strike. And it was sort of disappointing. However, we are left with the cliffhanger of what is going to happen to Bailey's marriage. And of course, the ever present dilemma of whether or not Meredith and McDreamy are broken up or not. Although there will not be many recaps for a good long while, I promise to keep you updated with all the sordid hijinks of the cast's daily, off screen lives.
